PENROSE GEOMETRIC was designed by André Themoteo Alves Corrêa and published by MMC Typodrome. PENROSE GEOMETRIC contains 18 styles and family package options.
Upgrade-New Features:
‘Penrose Geometric’ Duo* (Standard and Alternates) is a display type-family with 18 fonts in 9 styles separately, upgraded from the 2013 version that only had 3 styles, instead of repeated characters, it now has same sized uppercase and lowercase in 2 styles, redesigned trade and currency symbols, geometric shapes, card-suites, multilingual diacritics, punctuation and extra characters set with full kerning.
The main new effort is the multiplicity of Monochromatic and Paint composing layers that combine to a lot of layer work options, as the improving is the printing quality for reduction and because of line precision, as Halftone styles has a fine wood-cut look and it’s match in neat pen look final art Styles, aiming to mix Escher’s and Reutersvärd styles and go beyond with gradient design software tool for example.
Inspiration:
‘Penrose Geometric’ is a homage to the father of “Impossible Figures” Oscar Reutersvärd who invented the PENROSE TRIANGLE Δ in 1934 and much more solid archetypes that seems to be in an impossible perspective, therefore is also dedicated to MC Escher and Sir. Roger Penrose, who spread this kind of optical Illusions in the 50’s, plus to all mathematically inspired explorers of Gestalt Phenomena!
