Mymra Piano is a monoline serif Roman face, inspired by Charles Robinson lettering from the Art Nouveau period. The enchantment of some of the characters’ flamboyant shapes has created an idea to rework the face and bring it to life as a contemporary typeface.
Skeleton of the original characters have been used as a foundation for shaping glyphs. Bowed terminals and serifs helped to keep playful impressions of the entire typeface. The result of this work is a new typeface with Clarendonian, or Egyptian characteristics. Mymra Piano is ideally suited for display use in publications or advertising.
Mymra Piano consists of six styles in Light, Regular and Bold weights ñ upright and true italics respectably. The typeface is released as OpenType single master with Western CP1252/ANSI character set.
