MIRO was designed by Lazar Dimitrijević and published by Posterizer KG. MIRO contains 2 styles and family package options.
MIRO is calligraphic font created in the name of great Spanish painter – Joan Miró. Basic idea was to create typeface that realistic to imitate Miro’s manuscripts, which we can see at his artworks, firstly as a part of his lithographys. In some way, it is kind of calligraphy characterized by unusual grotesque and expressive style.
Because of more spontaneous and convincional impression, font contains plenty of ligatures and stylistic alternates.
There is more than 250 imitates of infantile drawings, lines and other elements, which we can see in unique Miro’s masterpiece art, and it’s for free.
The letter’s grotesque is in the foreground, and readability is reduced. Because of that, this typeface is primarily intended for artistic projects, posters, more abstract themes, freer and artistic design. Or better said, for those who can see beauty in ugliness, enjoy in creative chaos, and feel good as imperfect.
