I created Darrow after reading the comic book “Hard Boiled” by Geoff Darrow and Frank Miller. This book retains such a strong universe, with such an attention to detail, it simply blows my mind every time I read it. Some letters present on the buildings of this comic book, an ode to 1920s-era building signs, impressed me enough to try and redo a whole alphabet from it. Whether you are familiar with the book or not, this font will undoubtedly bring to mind a world half-way between the present and the past, in which words could be hung on buildings with 5-ton letters.
