Brass Rail JNL is a novelty font, with its name derived from two key components of the source material. It was modeled from examples of vintage small letters stamped out of brass with ‘rails’ above and below each character to fit within a slot.

From these few examples comes a typeface with numerals, punctuation and an extended character set.
