Naive Gothic FY is a funny sans serif font with intentional awkwardness. Its origin comes from handmade signage seen in Paris. The proportions of letters are very different – especially those of capital letters – which strengthens this handmade aspect. While usually ascenders of lower cases are higher than capital letters, Naive Gothic keeps them both admittedly at the same height. Due to its high identifying shapes, which differs them to a lot of other geometrical sans serif fonts, Naive Gothic is a perverse delight for all kinds of fresh branding.
Naive Gothic FY was co-created by Fabien Gailleul, Jérémie Hornus & Alisa Nowak on fontyou.com, the first collaborative type foundry.
